Our Union has enjoyed a largely constructive relationship with Mr Fahour throughout his tenure as CEO and Managing Director and we wish him well in his future endeavours.
Rather than the remuneration of one executive, the Australia Post Board’s focus needs to shift back to the pay and conditions of their 36,000 other, predominately low-paid, employees.
In light of today’s profit announcement, Australia Post needs recognise the contribution of its workforce in producing this result with an EBA offer that delivers:
- A fair pay rise to assist employees to meet the rising cost of living and housing;
- Job security;
- A safe workplace;
- Secure superannuation; and
- Allows our members to get on with the job of providing better services to their communities.
